Cromwell's Soldier's Bible
The original 16 page pamphlet was first published in 1643 and is said to have been distributed to parliament troops "to put the fear of God before them" to quote Cromwell some years later. The verses quoted are mostly from the Old Testament and are those that refer to battle and victory. The original pamphlet is very scarce indeed. This copy is taken from a 1895 facsimile to which was added an introduction.
